A real must-try in Bangkok is surely After You Dessert Cafe. They have several branches from Thong Lor, Siam Paragon and Central Plaza, with a great selection of breakfast food and delicious treats such as signature honey toast, crepe cake, coffee and teas, frappes and teas.

I highly recommend trying their kakigori, Japanese shaved ice which comes in different flavors including Milo, Horlicks, Strawberry and the latest creation Mango Sticky Rice. The shaved ice is drizzled with a slightly salted coconut cream, a mango ice base, more sweet mango cubes and real sticky rice at the bottom. The combination is too pretty to be eaten. It is so worth trying and delicious!

Make sure you drop by this cafe chain when visiting Bangkok.

Korean Fried Chicken has been conquering a big part of Hong Kong-Korean cuisine since the popularization of a K-drama. The variety goes on from chili spiced, sweet and sour glazed and double cheese chicken, it is now reaching far down to a healthy baked one at Sodam Chicken.

With more than 70 branches in Korea, Sodam Chicken is set to locate its Hong Kong debut in the heart of Causeway Bay Bartlock Commercial Building.

It is a casual diner that serves up a range of deep fried or baked chicken, some Korean dishes such as rice cake and cold noodles, along with the perfect pairing of Korean soju and beer.

We love the baked chicken that is cooked just right with tendered and juicy meat, served in a basket alongside a delicious eggy mayonnaise dip.

The fried chicken is also a highlight which is crunchy, packed with full flavor of a pungent and sweet honey mustard glaze, absolutely scrumptious.

The carbonara rice cake is somehow disappointing despite it is quite rich and chewy, we wish for a thicker consistency on the sauce.

A great accompany to our fried chicken meal would be some drink specials including the upside-down apple cider rita and chrysanthemum tea soda.

Thanks for the lovely sunny weather! We have had a wonderful time spending at the one-of-a-kind street food market in Hong Kong today, Tong Chong Street Market.

The Sunday market is co-founded with Swire Properties, where putting together all these fabulous local producers who sell organic and sustainable products such as artisanal bread, fresh fruits, vegetables, homegrown roselle buds and much more!

The other half of the market is curated by selection of food entrepreneurs, all of which are playing a gastronomic scene in this dynamic food culture. Popit with their renowned lobster roll, Teakha with their homemade scones and head-steeped tea drinks, Noodle and Dog with the full range of hotdog varieties and jRink for the lovely tea mocktails!

The Poseidon is exclusive to #tcsmarket, a shrimp cake sandwiched in buttery brioche bun and topped with luscious crabmeat sauce and fresh sea urchin. Delicious!

The edible dirty shot is a special offer from jRink, a chocolate cookie cup with refillable matcha milk on the side; the thai tea soda served in a whole pineapple sured to bring the best refreshment too.

We also complete with a healthy acai bowl, a blended smoothie base with an ice cream consistency, topped with homemade granola, fresh berries and banana slices.

Make sure to check it out for the upcoming Sundays before it ends!

When I first realized that Tartes & Pop is actually set at Sheung Wan, I find it very convenient to locate and I can easily drop by after school for some sweet treats.

The concept of this French pastry shop has been very successful, where is owned by two French friends who make some of the best fine gourmet pastries in Hong Kong. Indeed, the flavors come in a delicious variety such as lemon, chocolate raspberry, orange with earl grey, plus some signatures including coffee creme brulee, sesame matcha and a monthly special peanut banana. I know right!

First, it is the coffee creme brulee. It is his favourite. The filling is a cream infused with brewed coffee, a just-set custard, very rich and creamy. Finish with a perfect layer of caramelized sugar for a bruleed top.

The sesame matcha has always been one of the most popular items at the shop because it is made with high quality matcha powder that gives a rich tea flavor and bitter aftertaste, a crunchy chocolate crust and a delightful sesame mousse in the middle.

My favourite is surely the vanilla strawberry. This tarte combines an excellent buttery biscuit crust, vanilla custard cream with visible amount of vanilla beans, strawberry jelly and the amazingly fresh strawberry compote that has been mixed with juices of lemon and lime.

I love them all and I am definitely recommending you to try these scrumptious and beautiful little pies!

“…do you continue the pursuit of your passion or do it just as a hobby,” said Janice Wong, the two-time winner of the Asia’s best pastry chef (Addams, 2015). I am instantly hooked to this sentence when this question has been drilling in my mind for years: Should I chase after my pastry skills and pursue a certificate at Le Cordon Bleu after I graduate?

But first, we should be excited about the soft opening of Cobo House by the Singaporean famous 2am Dessert Bar, where is at Sai Ying Pun set next to a new coffee shop. Which one? Check my next blog post!

Trained by world famous chefs including Thomas Kellar and Pierre Herme, Janice has derived a list of creative desserts putting in her training and artistic presentation, whilst additionally features the savouries dishes with fresh-grown herbs and foreignly in-sourced ingredients.

Introduced with a Thai House mocktail, I know it has been correctly ordered as I really like the highlights of the basil oil drips and spicy ginger juice.

We are impressed with the classy presentation of both foie gras mousse coated with thick layers of chocolate ganache as well as the tapioca cracker that comes with a texture-wise anchovies foam; and the fluffy charcoal mantou is much-loved for its tasty and tenderly slow cooked pulled pork filling.

As soon as we have sampled a list of desserts from the signature Tsujiri matcha tart and Chocolate H2O inspired by dead coral at San Sabasntian coast, I conclude two of my favourites to be Cassis Plum, illustrated with elderflower yogurt foam and yuzu pearls; Popcorn, with passionfruit sorbet and slightly bitter yuzu parfait. A note to remember is the malt ice cream that is served atop the Bailey’s cheesecake.

Their official opening is in mid of March, so let’s just anticipate this artisan dessert bar where pushes the boundaries between sweet and savoury.

I have to say – mango is definitely one of the must-eat in Bangkok. They are found everywhere when you stroll down the city, but one place to note is Mango Tango, the most popular places for mango dessert in Bangkok Thailand.

They have 3 outlets at the moment, two in Bangkok and one in Chiang Mai. The Siam shop is always my go-to location because it can be easily located by just a 3-minutes walk from BTS Siam Station, across Siam Paragon.

Here you can find a wide range of combinations such as mango ice cream, pudding, sundae, smoothies and the very much well-known mango sticky rice.

We order a greedy choice with almost everything, the signature Mango Tango with extra sticky rice. True to its name, it has a generous slice of sweet and juicy mango, while the mango pudding is fairly okay with a full mouth of mango flavor; mango ice cream has a sorbet texture. The sticky rice also has the right texture, but I wish for more coconut cream.

Another one is a bowl of herbal jelly with mango sauce, milk sago and assorted fruits; tastes as simple as it look.

After all, the desserts is not overwhelmingly impressive but still enjoyable on the hot day.

It doesn’t matter if you call it egg waffles, eggettes, or ‘gai dan zai’, it is always the most popular snack on-the-go in Hong Kong. Chewy, gooey on the inside, crispy on the outside; the original captured most of our hearts.

At Sumore, this traditional egg waffle is given a twist, serving four different flavors from original, chocolate, green tea to coffee, plus a wide variety of additional fillings such as chocolate chips, red bean, honey, black sesame and M&M’s etc. Seriously?

Need I say more? I’m definitely going for oreo filling in my original egg waffle. Freshly made from the egg waffle machine, hot and crispy, I especially like how it gets a bit crunchy on the edge after cooling. The center is filled with a generous serving of crushed oreo which is truly delectable.

Besides, we have also tried the coffee-flavored Hong Kong style waffle. You can tell it is extremely thick and sandwiched with loads of caramel in the middle.

Imagine the egg waffle can easily feed two people for just $20HKD, I guess it’s well worth coming a bit far to Yuen Long for a try!

I’m sure everything knows there’s a Line Cafe in Seoul, Korea. Situated within Sinsa-dong at Gangnam area, this 3-storey shop is more than just the Line mobile app. It has items such as stationery, pillows, soft toys, where also includes a basement cafe. that wins most of Line’s fans. It features French macarons, lattes, smoothies and ice cream with Line’s characters.

We got a Brown and Cony ice cream in cups, both come with a mini cookie on top. The soft ice cream is not only cute for the look, it tastes surprisingly smooth and milky.

I’m hoping to come back again and try out their cake rolls and cream latte!!!

While planning my Bangkok itinerary, the most looked forward is the afternoon tea at the Mandarin Oriental. Stepping into the famous Author’s Lounge, it is a beautifully decorated white house set in the original Mandarin Oriental building, which was built in the 1870s.

Imagine a wall of black and white photographs of the old Thailand and royal family, this place is always a celebrity and wedding party favourite in Asia.

The tea set starts from early afternoon 12pm, for which is classified between Western and the Oriental set, plus an additional vegetarian set. Both comes with a list of signature brewed teas, pastries, savouries and classic scones.

It begins with two scoops of delicious lime sorbet and lemon sorbet, so refreshing to start off the meal. As we opt for one of each set, so we basically try all of them. The plain and raisin scones are rightly done even though are lacking a bit of crumbly and butteriness, whereas the mango scone is still warm and tastes something out of ordinary. All served with clotted cream, mango and a notably luscious rose petal jam.

For the Oriental set, we love the lime crabmeat sandwich, fried vermicelli cup, pandan coconut crepe and mango sticky rice tartlets; for the Western set, there are the green asparagus in clear tomato aspic on white sourdough, smoked salmon open faced sandwich and raspberry caramel eclair that we enjoyed. We finish with a cup of earl grey tea with milk and is given a complimentary box of mini chocolate. How lovely!

After all, this afternoon tea at the Author’s Lounge surely deserves a special mention!

Given a lot of cool cafes popping up around the Western District (some features such as Artisan Room, LIFETASTIC and ethos), this area is slowing becoming the new hood for us to hangout and stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Hidden away on an obscure street in Shek Tong Tsui is Artisan Garden Cafe, a second opening after the first at Tin Hau. It consists of a patio and a wall of Fire-King antique cup collection, relaxing and cozy vibe; offering plentiful food such as salad, all-day breakfast, grilled cheese and pasta dishes.

A feature is the buttermilk fried chicken with waffle. The buttermilk marinate is terrific which keeps the chicken thigh well seasoned, juicy and crunchy perfection.

The grilled sandwich is made with two thick toasts that look evenly golden-brown, stuffed with gooey and oozey double cheddar and sliced avocado. It is ever-so-slightly too filling but definitely worth a try!

So, we’ve learnt and tasted so many great burgers in townwhat is so special about a burger from a non-burger joint? Artisan’s burger is so unexpectedly delicious! Surprising us with a succulent beef patty, with everything like crispy bacon, fried egg and avocado, not to mention the excellent caramelized onion. The side order fries are thick-cut comes with aioli and ketchup.

A sweet finish would be strawberry waffle sandwich made with a scoop of real good vanilla ice cream, strawberry compote and plain yogurt.

While they do a lovely fresh lemonade squash, the Australian-style coffee shop also pays detailed attention to their coffees. From signature caffe americano, piccolo latte, French press cafe au lait to even cold drip coffee, everything you can think of is true. The flat white we tried is impressive!

Ranked as the Asia’s Best Restaurant and one of the World’s 50 Best Restaurant, Restaurant Gaggan is a fine-dining place where serves deconstructed and unexpectedly dramatic Indian cuisine. It is named after the owner and head chef Gaggan Anand, who has years of experience at El Bulli and progressively developing his culinary skills to make his restaurant one of the best in the whole of Asia.

Here offers one menu of the day, which includes a list of appetizers, mains and desserts with one-of-a-kind names. Starting from a pickled plum soda, it is a so refreshing and surprises further come with a spoonful of yogurt explosion, an edible plastic bag carrying wasabi spiced nuts, a bomb of mango juice and powdery curry cookies.

I am fascinated by the Chef’s philosophy, which is to stay true with traditional flavor but in a modern and fun molecular approach, as the menu follows with spicy pork with crispy potato noodle, chocolate cracker with chicken liver pate, a deletable piece of grilled eel on plantain chip, and finally mango ice cream cone topped with fresh uni.

A surprise from Chef Gaggan is a charcoal-like croquette made with sea bass, mashed potato, onion and curry powder, a magic mushroom that is possibly the best mushroom dish I have ever had in life.

Red matcha means tomato soup with fresh tomato, plum grape; while the tandoori lamb chop is so perfectly tender and succulent (noted that I am not a fan of lamb, no never!).

We have a big plate of dessert, peach snowball, aka melba ice, served with crystal-like ginger snow, fresh Japanese white peach and crushed nuts. Wow!

Finally, we are pleased with Chef’s childhood favourite mango ice cream lollies, incredible petit fours of carrot ice cream macaron, rice cracker and a cup of spring water as a final blessing.

This is truly the worthiest visit I have ever made!

Speaking of Mercedes me, one might only think of their vehicles.
Operated by Maximal Concepts, Mercedes has opened its door to more than just the car, but into the world of food!

Conveniently located at the Entertainment Building of Central, it is a distinctive 408 square metre venue that draws inspiration of the Benz concept, driven by technologies and fashion. Every weekday from Monday to Friday, they are offering a brunch menu that features a breakfast buffet, plenty of egg dishes and healthy sweet yogurt.

Among the basket of pastry, the house made Fresh croissant delighted most of us with its very buttery and a slightly little crispiness on the edge.

The 62 degree egg is impressively slow-cooked to soft and creamy texture, likewise, the scrambled egg so fluffy and matches healthily with half an avocado, manchego cheese and sauteed spinach.

I love the thin toast sandwiched with unbeatable fillings of smoked salmon and cream cheese, as well as the thick and creamy Greek yogurt parfait that is sweetened with delectable fruit tartare and cookie crumble.

Finally, we finish this healthy and filling brunch with a cup of Mercedes cappuccino and some fresh fruit juices.

Kushikatsu means Japanese fried skewers. Announced during early of the year, Jan Jan Kushikatsu from Osaka is set to open the first flagship in Hong Kong after more than 12 locations in Osaka and Tokyo.

I have been anticipating to try the ever popular Jan Jan because this specific type of cuisines are rarely found or served in Hong Kong.

The restaurant is minimalist with a comfortable bar table running around the front kitchen, where we peer and see how the chef prepares the food, and two private tatami rooms.

The menu is pretty satisfying that covers all kashikatsu and kushiyaki, the grilled items, from meats, seafood, veggies and even desserts ranging at moderate price.

Some favourites would be moist dashimaki tamago, meaty kiss fish and thick-cut lotus root. The karaage chicken is fried to perfect bite-size, whereas the deep-fried egg is stunningly made with a soft and runny yolk.

To complete, we also have deep-fried vanilla ice cream dessert stuffed between castella cake and some Japanese favourite sake and soju to serve along this izakaya experience!

That afternoon, my friend and I was supposed to visit Mido Cafe in Yau Ma Tei. We did not realize it was under construction and was closed until March. So we walked around the area and reached this secret upstairs space in Shanghai Street with an unusual name called “Mum’s not home”.

With plenty of plants, clothes and old-fashioned furnitures, this hangout is minimal but homey. It is like a collection of art pieces, musics and fashions.

The menu consists of drinks and cakes served homemade from their kitchen. We ordered a galaxy-coloured pineapple soda, a sweet purple potato milk and a piece of durian cheesecake.

The blue color comes from butterfly pea, which does not contribute to the flavor, whilst the soda itself is pretty bland. A better one is the purple potato latte served cold in a huge, silver cup, size like a ramen bowl. And my friend also liked their durian cheesecake, a very rich and creamy cheesecake accentuated with the delicate aroma of durian.

Although I personally don’t feel comfortable sitting in this small space, but my friend do!

I have been to Seoul for more than 10 times and I swear I have yet tried this local famous toast. While it has been known as one of the hottest street foods in Seoul, it is expanding successfully to Asia, the Isaac Toast in Macau, where is a more commercialized version.

Isaac Toast was first opened by an old lady who had to sell sandwiches to earn money when her husband was diagnosed with an illness. It started at one of the nearby universities, selling freshly grilled butter bread sandwiches with ingredients such as ham, cheese, beef patties, bacon and their very own secret sauce.

A smear of the sauce on the butter bread is just heavenly. Sweet as honey, mayonnaise consistency, this is why Isaac sandwiches are so spectacular. Make sure to grab one when you come to Korea!

Arriving the hotel, we are made comfortable with some welcome drinks and homemade cookies. The staffs are friendly, helpful and polite, showing us the way to the hotel room after our remarkable lunch at Vida Rica Restaurant.

The view from our room is so astonishing which is a premium sea view overlooking the Macau skyline, the lake and the Macau Tower. Everything is well facilitated and easily accessible, wifi connection, mini bar, bathing suites and a plate of decorative shortbread cookies and chocolate that feature the dinosaur exhibition at Macau Science Centre.

At night, after chilling at Vida Rica Bar, we feel contented with two mini jars of turtle jelly with flower honey, as well as the two brilliant desserts; a serradura pudding with the best milk ice cream, plus mango napoleon with lime sorbet. Perfecto!

We have our complimentary breakfast on the next morning at Vida Rica Bar, where is transformed into a beautiful, bountiful buffet offering Chinese dim sum, Western pastries, salad, cereal, egg station, waffle & pancakes, fresh fruit juices and many more. It is just amazing!

All in all, our one night stay at Mandarin Oriental Macau has been so memorable and serene. Their hospitality are truly second to none!

At the historically marked and creatively revitalized PMQ building, Sohofama is one of the ever-growing eateries owned by the folks behind Locofama, a health-conscious restaurant.

The team collaborates with lifestyle chain G.O.D. to make it an unconventional and cozy space to offer some local Chinese comfort food which emphasizes on organic, healthy and no-MSG, hidden inside a hip bar that holds some coolest cocktails infusing Chinese-ingredients.

The bar is hosted by a talented mixologist Kit Cheung, the bar consultant at OZU Bar Hong Kong and co-founder of Spirit of Spirit.
He introduces us four of his favourite cocktails, starting from a Plum Sours, a blend of house-infused plum wine shaken with organic Perilla tea giving a sweet and slightly tangy aftertaste.

The Smoking Chamomile is not only presentable, it is possibly one of the best renditions of sweet chamomile tea but infused with traditional Yuet Woo rice wine and a hint of black sugar.

The other two are a roselle based cranberry vodka, and a signature dried orange peel Hua Diao resembling old-school congee from the old day.

And guess what! You can now create your own drink just by one click ahead to this link and redeem one of the four beautiful cocktails at Sohofama by 12 June!

Truth be told, this hidden gem is one of the coolest happy hour bars in Hong Kong.

Located on Observatory Road in TST, The Drunken Pot is a fashionable backdrop offering a new selection of hot pot dishes and delicacies.

Arriving at the bar, we first order a mocktail from their non-alcoholic drink list. The Asia Punch features a refreshing ginger ale-based with fresh lychee, lychee syrup, and my favourite fresh mint. It is very satisfying.

Instead of the signature Drunken Pot that has five different soup bases, we go for a choice of four featuring black truffle, pork bone, spicy and peppery pork stomach with pickled mustard soup. First, the black truffle is amazingly rich and creamy laced with a rich aroma of truffle; pork bone is a regular choice among all while the Sichuan-style one is undoubtedly spicy.

The premium sliced Angus beef chuck is apparently the star of the meal. Served hanging above a bed of ice cubes, the thin beef slices are incredibly marbled for a tender and beefy flavor. The flavor of black truffle from the shrimp and crabmeat dumplings aren’t very pronounced, while the bundle of veggies are simply a fancier display of including cabbage, choy sum, cherry tomatoes, pumpkin and brussel sprouts. Both the Happy Penguin cuttlefish ball and awkwardly-looking squid ink sausages are unfortunately lacking a bit flavor, yet the cute little penguin is truly an eye-candy serving over the ice while the latter one reminds me of our traditional Chinese preserved sausages.

Nonetheless, I really like the crispy fish skin deep fried and sprinkled with a spicy chili powder, as well as the freshly handmade beancurd roll which is crunchy and served with a sweet and sour dip. The same sauce is also served aside the Chinese dough that is stuffed with prawn paste and dressed with black truffle sauce on top, golden, chewy, and crunchy.

Last but not the least, the bi-coloured xiao long bao however do not impress us much as they all taste very similar and not as soupy as expected.

Rotiboy was founded in Penang, Malaysia. It first started as a neighbourhood bakery where sold freshly baked loaves for the households, breads for kids to bring as snacks and cake for celebrations. Until the idea “one bun that rule us all” came into the mind of the founder, he started the revolution and named this one-and-only bun as “Rotiboy”, after his naughty nephew “naughty-boy”.

And oh boy! This popular bakery finally comes to Hong Kong.

This bun itself reminds me of our Asian creation – “Mexican Bao”, with a crispy and cookie-like crust. The soft interior presents a generous aroma of coffee, laced with a little melted butter, but unfortunately hollow. Bear in mind, these texture will only exit if you eat it hot and fresh.

Beside the signature Rotiboy (coffee bun), as well as durian and cheese buns, the Hong Kong branch is also selling slushy and ice cream. I have a Kopi Slush, which is basically a coffee slush with their handcraft coffee ice cream. The base is very lightly sweetened, whereas the ice cream is a little icier than I thought. I should have tried the Teh, aka “lai cha”, something like Hong Kong milk tea.

After getting some oyster pancakes, I go further to explore more around Tsuen Wan.

At the beginning, I am so excited to try the familiarized taro egg waffle with honey star cereal at More Eggettes. But sadly it was no longer available, so I go for a chocolate flavor instead.

It is made fresh on a waffle iron upon order. Piping hot, the egg waffle is surely perfect with an extra crunchiness, crispy edges, aromatic custard taste, and gooey center filled with melted chocolate chips and adorably-looking honey star cereal.

I admit that I am getting too many egg waffles these days. But seriously, who could resist this gorgeous innovation that captures most of our hearts, from the young to old generations.

The name of this restaurant comes from a line of an old movie Jerry Maguire, “to complete you”. It is a new bar set in the center of town inspired to bring together the best of two worlds, molecular cocktails and desserts.

We are served with a tasting platter of Roasted Beetroot with Green Apple in Slightly Dressing, Slight-Grilled Open-Faced Tuna Melt and Italian Flatbread. The beetroot salad is my favourite whereas the tuna melt is made with whole wheat toast covered by slightly melted double cheddar, and Italian flatbread with tomato and mozzarella.

The truffle potato croquette with a creamy onion dip is made crispy and aromatic, which also served as a platter with Crispy Pollock with tartar sauce and Overnight-braised Pork Collar-butt with rocket & gravy. Our favourite goes to the boneless chicken wing stuffed with a surprising wonton filling that comes with a sweet and sticky apricot glaze.

Moving on to desserts, each is paired with a selected JM dessert cocktails.
The deconstructed cheesecake has Baileys cream cheese, biscuit crumbs, garnished with chocolate frozen foam and assorted berries, best to pair with the signature Alice the Wonderland.

The salted caramel cheesecake is paired with Just Yours, a mix of apple, peach, elderflower syrup and sprite, whereas the chocolate lava cake is paired with Before Sunset, a gin based cocktail with homemade osmanthus syrup, set aside a delicious Grand Marnier Cordon vanilla ice cream.

Finally, the mini pavlova with fruits and berries is to pair with Raspberry Tea Party, a raspberry infused earl grey tea mixed with cranberry and pineapple cream.

The bar opens daily, love its powerful vibe, to enjoy a chill and relaxing late night.

Recently being told one of the hottest places to go in Macau Peninsula, where famous for their affordable Chinese local pastries, cha chaan teng and breakfast dishes.

They have two branches, one is named after the first branch as “新鴻發” whereas the other one is separately named as “新威廉”. Both owned by the same family and serve the same menu.

Some top must-haves here would be stir-fried macaroni with sliced beef, pineapple pork chop bun and extra-thick French Toast.

The macaroni dish is sophisticatedly made with thin macaroni to replace the usual flat rice noodle. The flavor isn’t exactly impressive but the tender beef slices is worth noting.

We didn’t opt for a pineapple pork chop bun because we want something sweet to eat.
The wow-factor of the french toast is its ultra thickness, deep-fried beautifully golden brown. It has a rich peanut butter filling, topped with a slab of salted butter and a drizzle or two of golden syrup. Delicious to the max!

After all, I can tell this hidden gem is a total crowd-pleaser!

When I heard that the place Lobster Central had opened in Central on Stanley Street, I’m thrilled to test out if it could nailed a buttery, creamy and satiated lobster roll.

This fast food chain offers a simple menu, essentially three choice of rolls including Boston lobster, crab or shrimp roll. Some lobster bisque, crab claws, truffle and sweet potato fries can also be ordered as a side.

While we are feeling a bit peckish, a set of The High Rollers let us sample a bit of everything.

The crab roll is the better one out of the three, with flavorsome claw meat of crab stuffed in brioche bun that has been madly spread with clarified butter. The other two are stuffed with tough lobster and chubby shrimp which is dressed with mayonnaise in a similar way.

Alongside are two packs of potato chips and Berrywhite organic fruit sodas, and four most disappointing crab claws that are dry and greasy. I doubt if a squeeze of fresh lemon juice would help enhance the overall taste.

Overall, it is not necessarily the worst in Hong Kong, but so far a convenient place to grab an easy-to-go lobster roll.

There is no better thing than having a generous bowl of uni don on a Friday night. We come to Naruto Japanese restaurant in Mong Kok, located at the place where many good food can be found here.

Thick-cut salmon sashimi, live akagai and the palm-size fresh oysters, the sashimi are stunningly displayed on a bed of cold ice. The oysters are super fresh, tastes subtly salty and perfectly sweet.
The crab meat stuffed tamagoyaki is grilled with an obvious taste of dashi stock, serve with a sprinkle of shichimi. Bite into the piece of deep fried cheese gives a burst of cheesy goodness, whereas the wagyu beef is very juicy and tender, kept warm on a hot sizzling pan.

Finally, here comes the most anticipated sea urchin rice bowl. Topped with three different kinds of sea urchin from Canada, Hokkaido and Korea respectively and a raw quail egg, they are so creamy, sweet and scrumptious! Reminding me of the one I tried at Sushi Man!

It’s such a perfect day!
