Need some advice on my itinerary

Recommended Posts

Hi

I be travelling to hong kong on 12th Jan . Will be going to Macau first and I know that I can take a direct ferry from HKIA to Macau. Which ferry terminal should I go? I m staying in Sheraton

Macau (12 – 15)

Will be staying there for 3 days. Would like to go to Senado square and those eateries but it seems that all research does not indicate which exit or how should I go about to all this places. I saw some where that we can take Galaxy hotel shuttle bus to Senado square? I am staying in Sheraton and Venetian respectively.

From Macau back to HongKong

I saw that there is two ferry terminal, which is the TST ferry terminal and the Sheung Wan terminal. I m staying in Jordan. So I believe I shld go to the TST ferry terminal?

HongKong (15 – 19)

Coming back to HK on the 14th Jan and will most probably do star avenue that night. Would like to go to LFK and other plc of interest.

16th Jan

HK Disneyland

17th Jan

Would like to go to 海味街, 跑马地, Central. All possible to do so in 1 day?

18th Jan

No plan.. Maybe go Shenzhen?

19th Jan

Back to Homeland

Hi hyubin, Sheraton Macau is on Taipa island, so better arrive in Taipa ferry terminal.

Will be staying there for 3 days. Would like to go to Senado square and those eateries but it seems that all research does not indicate which exit or how should I go about to all this places. Macau has no railway system, therefore there are no stations or exits that can be advised. Public transportation in Macau is mainly on ground, i.e. taxi and bus, or hotel/casino free shuttle buses that mainly run between ferry terminals and hotels/casino, or between hotels/casinos that are owned by same corporation. There are no major hotels/casino around Senado Square so not sure if there are any free hotels/casinos shuttle stopping there. Last time I took shuttle bus of Sofitel Ponte 16 from ferry pier and from Sofitel Ponte 16 walk to Senado Square, it took about 15mins. Alternatively, you may ask hotel concierge for which bus route you can take to arrive Senado Square.

Yes you're right.

Yes it's possible. May include other spots in the city if you like.

18th Jan

It's up to your interest. I personally not fond of anywhere in China so have no comments.... Or you may stay in HK and make a day trip to an outlying island in HK, like Cheung Chau, Lamma, or exploring Lantau like visiting the Big Buddha, Tai O fishing village, shopping at Tung Chung Citygate Outlet Mall....etc.

Thanks for the advise and confirmation.

I saw from some travel variety video. It seem that we can have seafood at 鴨脷洲市政大楼 but i just cant seem to find out any information about this place. Like how to get there. For seafood wise, do you recommend Sai Kung or 鴨脷洲市政大楼 for seafood? I know that Lamma island do have but its kind far out and i would like to have seafood for dinner thus wont be venturing out to Lamma Island.

Thanks

Yes, some restaurants inside 鴨脷洲市政大廈熟食中心 cook seafood for customers as their requested. But you have to buy seafood yourself inside the market there and then bring the seafood to restaurant and tell them how you want to cook your seafood. There will be a charge for cooking service, depends on the way of cooking and the quantity. Even locals may not know about this place for seafood except those living around there, big fans of seafood or gastronome.

It would be a bit hard for tourists to dine there alone maybe due to difficulty in communication or simple not familiar with the local practice. Personally would suggest Lei Yue Mun for easier access, or actually some restaurants in town also cook very nice seafood like those under bridge spicy crab restaurants in Wan Chai.
